Dynamiter’s forward signs with ACHA Saints

Kimberley Dynamiter forward Campbell McLean is joining the Maryville University Saints.

McLean put up eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points in 21 games for the Dynamiters.

He started the season with the Thunder Cats and tallied 11 goals and 24 points in 18 games.

McLean also played an important role in the Dynamiters winning the Teck Cup.

He scored 26 points in 23 games.

“The Maryville hockey program, along with their Exercise Science program, checked all the boxes,” said McLean.

“Coming to Kimberley was the best thing I’ve done in my hockey career. They have a winning environment and I learned about what it takes to win. The fans, coaches and my teammates are going to be along with me for the rest of my career.”

Dynamites head coach Derek Stuart said McLean will be missed on the ice but is happy for him.

“The opportunity for him to begin his education and also play for a top hockey program in Marysville is very exciting,” said Stuart.

“He deserves it and he’s earned it. The direct, positive impact Campbell had on our team in so many different ways was remarkable. We wouldn’t have won without him.”
