Kimberley begins annual yard waste collection

Crews with the City of Kimberley are out collecting the community’s yard waste until the end of next week.

City officials said pickup days will be the day before your regular garbage removal schedule, and materials must be set out by 7 a.m. on collection day.

For example, if you have your garbage removed on Tuesdays, crews will come by for your yard waste on Monday.

You are allowed to leave out one load per household, with a maximum volume of about one half-ton pickup truck.

City officials said grass, leaves, plants, branches under four inches long and hedge trimmings can be included, but must be put into paper bags, with branches secured into bundles.

The bags will also have to be separated from your regular garbage and clearly marked as yard waste.

The collection program will continue until May 18, and you can see more details below.
