A defenceman with the Golden Rockets has signed with the Portage College Voyageurs of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.
Ethan Aebly tallied 42 points in 40 games for the Rockets which was second best among KIJHL defencemen.
“I’m excited to further my education and play hockey at the college level a little closer to home,” said Aebly.
“I’m also very thankful for the organization and head coach Chuck Wight for acquiring me last season. I was always put into a position to succeed and develop in Golden and am very grateful for it.”
The Voyageurs finished in last place last season in the men’s standings with a 5-19 record.
