A fire has been sparked near Kimberley in the Matthew Creek area of the St Mary’s Valley.
The Kimberley fire department and BC Wildfire Service said they are monitoring the situation but there is currently no threat.
According to the province’s wildfire dashboard, the blaze is four hectares and out of control.
Crews are still determining a cause.
A second blaze was discovered yesterday in the Red Canyon Creek area near Grasmere.
The fire is currently under a hectare in size and the cause is unknown.
