Cranbrook’s Bowen Byram will not be winning back-to-back Stanley Cups after the Colorado Avalanche were eliminated in the first round by the Seatle Kraken.
The series went to Game 7, but the Kraken won 2-1.
The Avalanche struggled all season with injuries including in the Playoffs as well.
Forward Andrew Cogliano fractured a vertebra in his neck after a hit from behind in Game 6.
Byram finished the playoffs with three assists in seven games.
