Bucks coach named BCHL coach of the year

Cranbrook Bucks head coach and GM Ryan Donald has won the Joe Tennant Memorial Trophy.

The trophy is for the coach of the year.

He led the Bucks to a 36-14-1-3 record as they got 76 points.

They also finished the season second in the Interior Division in their second full season as a franchise.

Donald was up against Fred Harbison (Penticton Vees) and Cam Keith (Surrey Eagles) for the award.

He has been the Bucks head coach since the team’s inaugural season.

His success behind the bench led to a six-year extension back in November.
