KIJHL rookie of the year signs BCHL contract

The Columbia Valley Rockies’ top forward Keenan Ingram will be moving on next season, joining the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

“Keenan was a high-end scorer at the AA level out of Calgary that we felt just needed the opportunity to prove that he could succeed at the Junior level as well,” said Rockies Head Coach-GM Emery Olauson in a release.

“He came in and embraced his development and took advantage of his opportunity right away. We are proud of Keenan and can’t wait to see what he does in the BCHL.”

Ingram had 43 goals and 31 assists last season which was second among all KIJHL players.

“I’m looking forward to playing with the Cowichan Valley Capital,” said Ingram in a release.

“After having the opportunity to train with the team, I think it will be a good fit for me and I can contribute to the program. I’m grateful for the opportunity I had this year to play in the KIJHL with the Columbia Valley Rockies and I think the experiences have prepared me to move to the BCHL. Thanks to my coaches and teammates for being a part of my road forward.”
