The Elkford Fire Department will be conducting some burns this week as long as weather conditions are good.
Crews are planning to burn slash piles and forestry debris at the lagoon.
It’s from the mitigation work that was started in mid-March.
Elkford officials said this week’s weather looks optimal for air quality and ventilation.
Smoke will likely be noticeable around the community.
