The ʔaq̓am community will have a controlled burn this week, and nearby residents may see smoke while work is underway.
ʔaq̓am officials said the slash piles will be burned on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, in preparation for a larger prescribed burn.
Smoke from the community may be visible for a day or two after crews start operations.
