Cranbrook Fire department on scene after hydro transformer hit

The Cranbrook Fire Department and BC Hydro is at the scene of an accident on the 700 block of 21 Avenue North.

A vehicle struck a hydro transformer.

Power has been out since just after 10 p.m. and is affecting approximately 164 customers.

Fire department officials said the occupants of the vehicle left the scene before crews arrived.
