College of the Rockies President Retiring

David Walls, President and CEO of College of the Rockies will be retiring in 2020, prompting a search for a new leader of the College.

The College of the Rockies’ Board of Governors announced Walls’ upcoming retirement on Tuesday. Walls will leave the position effective August 2020.

“After a successful career in post-secondary, and seven years as President and CEO at College of the Rockies, David Walls will be retiring,” confirmed Randall Macnair, Chair of the College of the Rockies Board of Governors. “On behalf of the Board, I wish to extend my sincerest thanks to David for his dedication and leadership.”

The College of the Rockies Board of Governors’ Presidential Search Committee has partnered with the executive search firm, Leaders International, as part of the consultation process to search for a new president.

It’s anticipated that the search will last several months as they also conduct community stakeholder meetings.
