Fernie Search and Rescue was able to help out an injured backcountry skier on Sunday.
SAR volunteers located the skier in the Morrissey area.
They were able to extricate the man with the help of Ascent Helicopters.
The skier is believed to have a serious lower leg injury.
He was taken to the hospital in Fernie for further treatment.
