News Cranbrook Looking for Artists to Create Sculpture SHARE ON: Ryley McCormack, staff November 1, 2019 (Supplied by Pixabay) The City of Cranbrook is looking for local artists to submit ideas for a permanent sculpture installation to liven up a public park. Artists from around the Columbia Basin are welcomed to show off their previous work and what they have a vision for the public space. The City said the sculpture will be put into Crnabrook’s Harmony Park on Van Horne Street. The budget for the project is set at $35,000 and is scheduled to be finished by August 31, 2020. Cranbrook’s Community Vibrancy initiative looks to add appeal to public spaces around the city through various artwork. The City is asking that artists show they have the skills and experience. The art installation intends to entice people into visiting the park. Applications can be found here and must be submitted by November 29.
