Dog and two people rescued by SAR crew

Kimberley Search and Rescue picked up two people and their dog early Wednesday morning after they became stranded on a forest service road.

SAR officials said they were successfully brought back into town with no injuries.

Kimberley SAR wanted to remind you that service is free and do not hesitate to call if you need help.

Before heading into the backcountry you should be prepared to have to spend the night.

SAR officials said you should have a flashlight, fire-making kit, whistle, mirror and knife.

It’s also smart to have extra water and food, a first aid kit and extra dry clothing.
