Following this week’s rain and warm weather melting snow the City of Fernie has opened its sandbag station.
The station is located at 1492 Railway Avenue, next to TJ’s Autobody.
The sandbags are free but you will have to bring your own shovel.
City crews are working to clear snow from storm drains and remove snow from the downtown to help with parking.
