Cranbrook wraps up capital works projects for the year

The City of Cranbrook’s public works projects for the year are coming to a close.

City staff said the new pressure-reducing valve station at the entrance to Wildstone is fully operational and the new building has been assembled.

All that’s left for that project is site cleanup and some concrete work in the spring.

Crews have completed the Joseph Creek Rehabilitation project.

That project saw a new creek channel and flood bench put in place and retaining work completed.

Some delays have postponed work on the Lagoons Cell 1 upgrades. Desludging operations are complete, but work won’t be completed until the spring.

City staff said the delivery of some electrical parts is holding up the completion of the streetlights and intersection lights of the McPhee and Theatre Road Intersection Upgrades project.
