The Cranbrook Bucks’ goaltender Nathan Airey has earned himself a BCHL star of the week.
Airey helped the Bucks win all three games last week.
“Thrilled for Nathan to get the recognition of being the third star of the week,” said head coach and general manager Ryan Donald.
“Nathan has been a rock for us all year long, and gave us two great performances up in Prince George this weekend.”
Airey had a 1.67 goals against average while stopping 105 and 110 shots he faced, for a .955 save percentage.
“Those of us who get to see Nathan’s daily approach to his craft are not surprised by the consistency he shows in his game,” added Donald.
He is 11-6-1 on the season and is sixth in the league in goals against average and third in save percentage.
