Two people rescued from fire in old Knight’s Hall

Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire at the former Knight’s Hall along King Street and rescued two occupants from the third floor.

One occupant was taken to the hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation.

City of Cranbrook staff said Red Cross Emergency Services Support volunteers will be supporting 24 tenants who have been displaced.

An investigation into the cause will begin on Wednesday morning.
