COTR holding open house next weekend

The College of the Rockies will be holding their Rockies Fest Open House on Nov. 19 at the Cranbrook campus.

“We frequently have people visit our campus who express surprise at our beautiful facilities and the technology and equipment available for teaching and learning,” said Jennifer Inglis, Recruitment Officer.

“After two years of holding our Open House virtually, we’re excited to welcome the community back so we can show off all we have to offer. Whether you’re a potential student or not, I think you’ll get a lot out of this Open House.”

There will be mini lectures and the opportunity to observe or try technologies like a welding simulator, augmented and virtual reality, and a birthing simulator mannequin.

If the weather is good, the Fire Services program will be on site with their fire truck and a jaws-of-life demonstration.

A wide variety of activities will also be going on and campus tours will happen every half hour.

The open house is from 10 a.m to 1 p.m.
