WildSafeBC warns residents of deer rutting season

With deer rutting season underway, WildSafeBC is urging residents to be cautious around deer.

Bucks will be trying to assert their dominance over female deer and mature bucks will be engaging in head-to-head fights.

WildSafeBC officials said the risk of aggression is increased especially if you are with a dog.

They said drivers may also notice more bucks on local roadways.
