U18 Bucks take silver at weekend tournament

The U18 Bucks earned a silver medal in Kelowna at the Battle of the Valley Tournament last weekend.

Eight teams from the Lower Mainland, Terrace, Okanagan and East Kootenay met to compete in the eight-team tournament.

The local team is made up of players from Elkford, Sparwood, Kimberley, Cranbrook and Invermere.

The U18 Bucks took round-robin play with a 1-1-1 record before beating Terrace in the semi-final.

The Bucks moved into the gold medal game against Sea-to-Sky, ultimately ending up wth a 6-3 loss.

The U18 team will be on the road this upcoming weekend for a game against Williams Lake.
