Bucks forward listed on 2023 NHL Central Scouting preliminary report

A Cranbrook Bucks player has the potential of being drafted by an NHL team in 2023.

Donovan Frias was named a C prospect by NHL Central Scouting, which means he has the potential to be drafted between the fourth-sixth rounds of the 2023 NHL Entry draft.

“We are excited for Donovan to be identified as an NHL draft prospect with the release of the Central Scouting List this week,” said Bucks head coach and general manager Ryan Donald.

“It is a great feather in his cap as a young hockey player to receive this recognition relative to his peers.”

The 6-foot-4 forward has three goals and four assists in 10 games so far this season.

“We have been impressed with Donovan’s progression as a young man and hockey player since arriving here in Cranbrook and look forward to continuing his development this season.”

Frias and his twin brother Julian are committed to Yale University.
