Residents in Cranbrook’s Wildstone, Shadow Mountain and Industrial Park will be without water overnight in early November.
City officials said the water will be off starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 8th night and turn back on at 10 a.m. the following morning.
“Contractors need to complete the disconnect of the water main from the decommissioned pressure-reducing valve (PRV) station, which is located at the entrance into the Wildstone Golf Course,” said city staff.
Access to the Wildstone area will not be accessed by this work.
Residents are asked to have a supply of water on hand for drinking, washing food and brushing teeth and to fill a tub so that water is available to flush toilets, while the work is being done.
Once water is restored, residents who have discoloured water should run their cold water taps until the water comes out clear.
