Cranbrook public washrooms to begin closing for season

Over the next few days, the City of Cranbrook will be closing most of its public washrooms in parks in preparation for the winter.

City staff said the weather is still warmer during the day, but it’s getting close to freezing overnight.

This could freeze the piping.

The Rotary Park bathroom and the ones located on the west side of Idlewild Lake at the base of the sledding hill will remain open.

They will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Those facilities were built to be open year-round.
