Invermere transfer station to close for paving work

The Invermere transfer station will be closed for three days next week while paving work is going on.

“The entire site will be closed beginning Tuesday morning and we hope to have the paving wrapped up by Thursday evening so that we can open for regular hours on Friday,” says RDEK Solid Waste Superintendent, Jim Penson.

“Having the site paved will improve the experience for all users of the site. We appreciate the public’s understanding as we make this upgrade with as minimal an impact on services as possible.”

RDEK staff said all bins will be removed from the facility and returned by the time it reopens.

The transfer station is closed from Oct. 25-28 and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
