The Kimberley Dynamiters have made a major trade in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, striking a deal with the 100 Mile House Wranglers.
This week, the Dynamiters traded both of the Daniels brothers to the Wranglers for 19-year-old forward Ryan Piva.
20-year-old Brady Daniels played 43 games with the Dynamiters in 2018 and 2019, collecting 40 points (14G, 26A) in his time in Kimberley while amassing 67 career points (21G, 46A) in 96 games. Brady’s younger brother, 18-year-old Austin Daniels had 8 points (3G, 5A) through 12 games with Kimberley in his rookie season.
In the trade, Kimberley acquires veteran Ryan Piva. With 111 games notched on his belt, Piva has scoring 45 goals and added 48 assists for 93 points in his KIJHL career so far. Piva has spent the majority of his career with the Nelson Leafs before playing 6 games with 100 Mile House this season before the eventual trade that now sends him to Kimberley.
Piva is expected to make his Dynamiters debut in Kamloops on Friday as Kimberley opens up a two-game road trip.
