Roadside nap leads to arrest for man with outstanding warrants

A man who was laying on the shoulder of Highway 95 was found to have an outstanding warrant when police went to check on him.

Columbia Valley RCMP said the detachment received a call to check on the man near Edgewater at about 9 a.m. on Sunday.

An officer spoke to the man, who said he was just taking a rest, during their conversation, the officer learned that the man had an outstanding warrant.

Police officials said the man was arrested without incident and brought before a judge, where he was released on conditions.
