Water service to be interrupted in Wildstone and Shadow Mountain areas

Wildstone and Shadow Mountain residents will be without water Thursday morning while crews with the City of Cranbrook commission the new pressure-reducing station.

City staff say water will be shut off between 11 a.m. and noon.

You may notice discoloured water after work is complete. This can be fixed by running the cold water tap until it runs clear.

City staff say a more significant shutdown will be completed later this summer or early fall to dismantle the old pressure-reducing valve building.

Concrete curb and sidewalk replacement will happen once the old building has been removed.
