UPDATE (July 8, 2022)

Cranbrook RCMP said the two German tourists who were reported as missing on Thursday have since been found alive and well.

ORIGINAL STORY (July 7, 2022)

Two German tourists have been reported as missing after they were last heard from while travelling through the Horseshoe Lake area late last month.

Cranbrook RCMP officials said the detachment received a call from a concerned family member on Thursday.

“Since that time, the pair have not been heard from,” said Cranbrook RCMP spokesperson Cst. Katie Forgeron.

At the time Kanzler and Szeck went missing, they were travelling in a blue 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan with B.C. license plate P-T-7-6-4-H.

Anyone who sees them is asked to contact Cranbrook RCMP at 250-489-3471.
