Bucks forward sent to Rivermen

The Cranbrook Bucks have traded forward Hayden Gelbard to the Langley Rivermen.

The Bucks are getting back future consideration in return.

“We would like to wish Hayden the best of luck in Langley. Hayden has been with our organization from the beginning and it has been a pleasure to work alongside him in his development,” said head coach Ryan Donald.

In his two years with the team, he put up seven goals and three assists in 52 games.

The Bucks have also named a new athletic trainer and equipment manager.

JJ Johnson will be a new face off the ice.

He has an extensive background working in Junior Hockey, both at the Junior A and CHL levels.

“I’m very happy to be joining the Cranbrook Bucks as their next Athletic Trainer and Equipment Manager,” said Johnson.

“I’d like to thank Nathan and Ryan for the opportunity and also extend a big thank you to the Powassan Voodoos for the last six years. I’m looking forward to getting to work in Cranbrook!”
