KIJHL Releases 2019/2020 Season Schedule

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) has released its schedule for the upcoming 2019/2020 season as the entire Eddie Mountain Division will open their seasons on Friday, September 13, 2019.

Both the Kimberley Dynamiters and Columbia Valley Rockies will open their seasons at home, while the Fernie Ghostriders, Creston Valley Thunder Cats, and Golden Rockets will take to the road.

The Dynamiters will host the Beaver Valley Nitehawks in their home opener at the Civic Centre, while the Rockies will take on the Osoyoos Coyotes at the Eddie in Invermere.

Travelling on their opening weekend, the Fernie Ghostriders battle the Nelson Leafs, the Creston Valley Thunder Cats matchup with the Spokane Braves, and the Golden Rockets take on the Kamloops Storm.

Pre-season action officially gets underway across the KIJHL on Wednesday, August 28th with Fernie and Golden playing the first exhibition game.

While the regular season opens on September 13th, it will also come to an end on February 22nd with Kimberley hosting Grand Forks, the Ghostriders and Rockies clashing in Fernie, and the Thunder Cats facing off with Castlegar.

Following the conclusion of the KIJHL Playoffs, the entire season will culminate at the 2020 Cyclone Taylor Cup in 100 Mile House in April.
