16-year-old killed in accident near Golden

A 16-year-old was killed in a vehicle accident near Golden following a grad party early Saturday morning.

Police officials said the incident happened at about 3:30 a.m., after the party in Parson, about 35 kilometres south of Golden.

“All loss of life is tragic, but it is exponentially so when it involves the death of a young person,” said Cst. Kat Robinson, Golden-Field RCMP spokesperson. “The Golden RCMP asks the community to please come together and support one another in this impossibly difficult time.”

The investigation is ongoing by RCMP and the BC Coroners Service
