Cranbrook outlines Canada Day 2022 events

The City of Cranbrook will be celebrating Canada Day with cupcakes, live music and a number of food truck options.

City officials said the celebrations will be kept to the downtown core, starting with a 2 p.m. performance of the national anthem.

Immediately after, the Sam Steele Sweethearts will be handing out cupcakes provided by Safeway.

Live music from the Brass Monkeys and Pretty for the People will be performed until 10 p.m. at the Rotary Park bandstand.

A beverage garden will be on offer from JCI Kootenay and the Fire Hall Kitchen & Tap, with a number of food trucks on-hand to provide a variety of food choices.

“The City of Cranbrook gratefully acknowledges the generous community support of our local sponsors and partners including JCI Kootenay, the Fisher Peak Performing Artists Society, the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market Society, and the Fire Hall Kitchen & Tap,” said Cranbrook officials.
