Infrastructure work to close Cranbrook’s 30th Avenue North

A portion of 30th Avenue North in Cranbrook will be closed next week while crews do some road work and storm sewer and water tie-ins.

City officials said this work will focus on the new Eagle Ridge subdivision starting on Monday.

The project will have 30th Avenue North closed to all traffic from Mount Royal Drive to Panorama Road until Friday. However, school bus drop-off and pick-up locations will not be changed.

BC Transit Route #1 will have a temporary route change, and three bus stops along 30th Avenue North will be relocated during that time.

City staff said barricades and signs will be posted, and drivers are asked to be cautious in the area.
