Driver charged after pedestrian struck

On May 30, Columbia Valley RCMP received a report of a pedestrian struck at an intersection in Invermere.

Police say the driver of a Dodge pickup truck hit the person at the intersection of 4th Street and 7th Avenue.

According to the RCMP, the driver was making a left turn onto 7th Avenue and struck a pedestrian’s shoulder with the truck mirror.

The driver was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.

The person was not seriously injured.
