Cranbrook RCMP seeking man in sexual assault

Cranbrook RCMP is looking for a man accused of groping a woman working at a local business.

Police officials said the detachment was called on May 17 to the business along the 1700 Block of Cranbrook Street North.

According to the RCMP, staff told officers that the man was making sexually inappropriate comments to a female employee.

“The man then put his arm around her and his hand slid down and he grabbed her buttocks,” said Cranbrook RCMP spokesperson Cst. Katie Forgeron. “The man then continued on with his purchase and left the store.”

Police were able to access video and photos of the incident.

Anyone who is able to identify the man in the photo is asked to contact Cranbrook RCMP.
