KIJHL Action Features Eight Eddie Mountain Division Games

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League features eight games within the Eddie Mountain Division this weekend as teams fight for position in the standings.

The Kimberley Dynamiters remain the team to beat with an 8-1-0-1 record through 10 games, leading the Eddie Mountain Division with 17 points. This weekend, the Dynamiters travel to Johnny Bucyk Arena on Friday to take on the Creston Valley Thunder Cats (6-2-0-1) at 7:30 pm before returning to the Kimberley Civic Centre on Saturday to battle the Summerland Steam at 7:00 pm.

The Fernie Ghostriders follow with 14 points through 11 games (6-3-0-2) as they host Summerland at 7:30 pm on Friday at Fernie Memorial Arena before a road trip to Fruitvale on Saturday to take on the Beaver Valley Nitehawks.

On the road, the Columbia Valley Rockies (3-5-0-0) and Golden Rockets (5-4-0-0) will look for wins to climb up the standings. The Rockies open their weekend in 100 Mile House on Friday night before a meeting with the Kamloops Storm on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Rockets will take on the Beaver Valley Nitehawks on Friday before closing out their road trip against the Nelson Leafs Saturday night.
