Rockies searching for new head coach

The Columbia Valley Rockies are on the lookout for a new head coach and general manager after previous coach Briar McNaney accepted a position at the Junior A level.

McNaney led the Rockies to a 30-9-2-1 record this last season, which was good for fourth overall in the KIJHL standings.

The team beat the Fernie Ghostriders in six games in the playoffs but ultimately lost in six to the Kimberley Dynamiters.

“Our entire organization is extremely proud of the Briar’s accomplishments as a Rockie and we wish him all the best as he advances in his coaching career,” says team president Brett Holt.

“We’re also excited to identify our next Head Coach and work together to win a KIJHL championship.”

Those interested in being the next coach can submit a cover letter and resume to Rockies’ president Brett Holt at [email protected].

The deadline is June 3.
