Cranbrook RCMP seeking stolen U-Haul truck

Cranbrook RCMP is asking residents to keep an eye out for a U-Haul truck that was reported as stolen out of Edmonton.

Early on Tuesday, a suspicious vehicle parked off the road near Fraggle Rock, just outside of Cranbrook along Highway 3 was reported to RCMP.

An officer spoke with two people who were camping there overnight. They said they would be moving from the location.

That afternoon, Edmonton police sent out a notice that the U-Haul was stolen from the local facility.

“We are currently looking for a white 2013 U-Haul-marked Ford E100 Van with Arizona Plates AE91140. We suspect that the vehicle may be parked along back roads or camped in green spaces around the area,” said Cst Katie Forgeron, a spokesperson with Cranbrook RCMP.

Anyone who sees the U-Haul is asked to contact the Cranbrook RCMP at 250-489-3471.
