Fernie residents may notice smoke coming from the top of Burma Road.
City of Fernie staff said slash pile burning will be taking place in the area.
Work started on Nov. 10 and will continue for a few days.
Fernie Fire and Emergency Services said residents should not be alarmed if they notice smoke coming from the area.
