A local contracting crew is conducting hand-pile burning along Westside Road in Invermere.
Work started on November 1st, 2021 and will continue throughout the week.
District of Invermere staff said the work will help in reducing the amount of fuel in the ecosystem.
Staff say the work makes the community more resilient to wildfires.
