Columbia Valley Transit Service Out of Operation Friday

The Columbia Valley Transit Service will not be operating Friday due to a vehicle breakdown.

BC Transit alerted MyEastKootenayNow.com that as a result of the breakdown, all routes offered by the Columbia Valley Transit Service will not be running.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep you updated as to the Monday service,” said BC Transit.

It’s anticipated that the Columbia Valley Transit Service will be fully operational once again by Monday, September 30, 2019, but residents will be without public transit for the time being.

The Columbia Valley Transit Service wasn’t in operation last Friday, September 20, 2019, or earlier this week on Monday, September 23, 2019, due to an “unforeseen mechanical issue” with the transit bus.
