Dynamiters Strike Deal With North Okanagan Knights

The Kimberley Dynamiters and the North Okanagan Knights have made a trade in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.

This week, the Dynamiters sent a player development fee and 2001-born forward Tyler Cheetham to North Okanagan in exchange for 2000-born forward Jett Saharchuk.

Playing four games with the Dynamiters this season, Cheetham had two points, scoring one goal and adding one assist.

Last season, Saharchuk scored 26 goals and collected 49 points in 46 games with the Knights in 2018/19. Saharchuk made the jump to Junior A this offseason, suiting up in three games with the BCHL’s Vernon Vipers before returning back to Junior B and now being acquired by the Dynamiters.

It’s anticipated that Saharchuk will be in the Dynamiters lineup as early as Friday night’s contest against the Princeton Posse at the Kimberley Civic Centre.
