As of Tuesday, RCMP then received information about the theft and potential whereabouts of the stolen property.

Cranbrook RCMP obtained a search warrant for two residences in the community and was able to recover a portion of the stolen property.

One man remains in police custody as a result of the theft, as RCMP have recommended charges of Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Conditional Sentence.

Despite the arrest, Cranbrook RCMP is still looking for more information or details as they believe another person was involved in the theft and that some of the stolen meat has yet to be recovered.

Anyone with further information that may aid police is asked to call Cranbrook RCMP at 250-489-3471.
