Columbia Valley Search and Rescue responded to an injured hiker on Sunday, August 29th, 2021.
CVSAR along with the help of Coldstream Helicopters in Invermere extracted the injured hiker from the Height of the Rockies Provincial Park.
CVSAR officials said it is important people know that although you might think you are visible to an aircraft overhead, it’s difficult to see people on the ground.
People should wear bright clothing or deploy brighter material like a tent fly.
