RCMP Investigating Wire on Columbia Valley Bike Trail

Columbia Valley RCMP is investigating after a mountain biker was injured along the Mount Swansea Trail network near Windermere after running into a piece of wire.

Reportedly, the biker ran into a strip of wire that was connected between two trees, prompting RCMP to investigate the matter.

“The rider described the wire as heavy gauge fencing wire that was approximately one foot off the ground,” said Columbia Valley RCMP. “He suspected it may have been strung across two trees.”
