KIJHL Action to Feature Ghostriders Home Opener, Dynamiters Homestand

Six games are on tap this weekend in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League as the regular season enters its second week.

The Kimberley Dynamiters will look to keep their perfect 2-0 record intact as they get set for back-to-back games at the Kimberley Civic Centre. On Friday, the Dynamiters play host to the Leafs at 7:00 pm before Saturday’s contest against the Columbia Valley Rockies, again at 7:00 pm.

This weekend includes the Fernie Ghostriders’ home opener. Fernie first goes head-to-head Friday with the Golden Rockets at 7:00 pm from Golden Arena, before returning to Fernie Memorial Arena for their home opener at 7:30 pm against the Creston Valley Thunder Cats on Saturday.

The final matchup on Friday features the Thunder Cats and the Columbia Valley Rockies, as both of those teams clash in Invermere at 7:30 pm at the Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena.

Rounding out the weekend, the Golden Rockets travel west for a matchup with the Chase Heat.
