Pro Wrestling Returns to Cranbrook

Pure Power Wrestling is returning to Cranbrook for Mountain Mayhem this weekend, serving as a fundraiser for the College of the Rockies’ Avalanche.

On Saturday, the professional wrestling organization will be back at College of the Rockies for the event.

Tickets are $15 with proceeds from the fights going to Avalanche Athletics.

Kyle Sebastian, Pure Power Wrestling Promoter said it will be a great event with great entertainment for everyone.

“It’s one of the best forms of live entertainment that there is,” Sebastian told MyEastKootenayNow.com. “We engage the crowd, we invite the crowd in, we want them to participate, it’s not just a show it’s a whole crowd involvement so it’s an experience for everybody that steps through the door.”

Cranbrook’s own Poppy Powers will be fighting on Saturday, noting her love and admiration of the sport.

I actually started as a dancer and I had a background in stage combat and one of my dance friends told me that she was doing wrestling and I was like, oh that sounds fun can I come along? I actually didn’t watch a lot of wrestling growing up but I ended up just completely falling in love with it.”

Mountain Mayhem gets underway at College of the Rockies at 6:30 pm on Saturday.
