Cranbrook Eagles Boxing Club Competes in Lethbridge

The Cranbrook Eagles Boxing Club was back in competition over the weekend, as three boxers fought in Lethbridge against Alberta opponents.

In just the second fight of her career, 16-year-old Hannah Jung went head-to-head with Lethbridge’s Tessa Feldridge, the reigning Alberta Provincial Boxing Champion. The match was an exhibition bout for Jung as she got more competitive experience while managing to go toe-to-toe with Feldridge.

Meanwhile, Hannah’s brother Tom Jung made his competitive debut. Challenging Lethbridge’s Mitch Johnson, Jung was aggressive early on in the fight, eventually winning the bout in the second round.

Lastly, 13-year-old Connor Ferrier competed as well, matching up against Red Deer’s Brody Andrie. In the first round, Andrie came out throwing and had the advantage, although Ferrier would feint and counter in the second round to event the match, setting up for a close third round that went back and forth. At the end of the fight, Ferrier would lose by referee decision.

The Cranbrook Eagles Boxing Club gets back in the ring October 19th as they compete in Nelson for Fight Night 7.
