UPDATE: Highway 3 opened following accident near Lumberton

UPDATE (4:51 p.m.):

DriveBC said the road has been cleared following the Monday afternoon accident near Lumberton.

The accident was first noted just after 3 p.m. on March 22nd.

This was the second accident along the same stretch of highway that caused a closure in the same day.

ORIGINAL STORY (3:22 p.m.):

A vehicle incident near Lumberton Road has prompted the second closure of Highway 3 on Monday.

DriveBC said the road is fully closed to traffic following the accident, as an assessment is underway.

No detours are available for the time being.

This accident is separate from what happened earlier in the day near Yahk.
